For over 200 years, generations of wine growers have worked the land of Cheval Blanc. Workers, farmers, winemakers and cellar masters; each driven by an identical passion for their profession.
As time has gone on, our teams have gained precision and subtility. They have construed and refined ‘the elegance of the gesture’ which is a characteristic of a great wine. Today, we have around fifty colleagues at the property who pay attention daily to the thousands of details which are the trademarks of our exacting standards and which incarnate our excellence.
Pierre Lurton, Director since 1991, plays the role of orchestral conductor at Château Cheval Blanc. He is surrounded by young, talented people, each expert in their field. This ‘new blood’ allows us to keep our know-how in-house and to nourish a dynamic based on the exchange of ideas.
Within our teams, the transmission of knowledge gives the younger members the opportunity to immerse themselves in the spirit and culture of Cheval Blanc thus guaranteeing a cohesion and timelessness within a common structure.
